The "Package"

Image
The other morning, one of my younger siblings was playing a computer game and they approach my mom, requesting her to go onto the internet to get them a new “Package”. I’m not terribly familiar with this game, but apparently you can go online and download these “Packages” that contain new parts and features for the game. Well my mom said she’d do it later because she needed to leave for an appointment right then. My sibling received this information with an “okay” and went off to play. A while later this same sibling came to me and asked me, “How do you spell package?” I was a little confused and they explained to me that they were trying to get on to the internet to find their “Package”. I quickly went downstairs to the computer room to find that thankfully they really had no idea where the internet was and had yet to find it, not to mention they’d spelled “Package” P-A-I-G-J. I spelled package for them but it didn’t work. I had no idea how to find this thing they desired and so I sim

To Gain Christ...

To Gain Christ… By Shawshee August 18 th 2011 To gain Christ… Words so easily spoken, A thought so readily conceived, I knew not the road I would venture, For this prize I might receive. To gain Christ… I suffer the loss of all things, Though they are counted to me as not, There is no mourning for the ashes, The Holy flames purging brought. To gain Christ… I weep and fight to stand, For the situation before me looks grim, Yet with Job I lay down my life, To proclaim… yet will I trust Him. To gain Christ… I so willingly give away, To Him who owed me nothi

Rock the Range 2011! Firsts and Familiars!

So on Sunday (28 th ) My sisters and I went down to the Rock the Range Franklin Graham Festival!  This adventure had a lot of firsts and some all too familiars! First of all this was my first live experience of a Graham event, the first time I ever heard The Afters in concert and the first time I ever saw Michael W. Smith up close in person.   One familiar thing that occurred though, was getting lost! Just about every time my sisters and I go to Denver we get lost. I think it’s to the fault of the computer map makers. Who are these people? “Stay right” Does that mean stay in the right lane? Or stay right into that exit lane? Oops! It was the exit lane! The problem with driving in places you don’t know is the moment you leave the designated route… you’re lost. I remember (on one of our many “lost” occasions) coming up with the statement that, “Driving in any unfamiliar area is really just a controlled state of lost,” thus insinuating I can’t really get lost! Yet no matter how
